The effects of blended learning on students’ achievement in a foundation english course: A study on foundation english students at TISHK University in Erbil, Iraq

Blended learning offers numerous opportunities for learners and teachers with the advancements in web technologies education. This study explored effects of blended on students’ achievement Foundation English course. To this aim, 30 freshman students who were studying at TISHK International University Erbil, Iraq split into two groups via stratified random sampling an intervention lasting 12 weeks 2021-2022 Academic Year. Control group received a traditional instruction, while experimental exposed to instruction model. The data collected through exams competency, questionnaire interview mixed methods design study. Subsequently, SPSS 27. MAXQDA employed analyze accordingly. findings indicated that took part activities outperformed 0.001 p-value, progress was not significant control instruction. Likewise, analysis unearthed asynchronous video lessons Google Form quizzes enhanced their proficiency tremendously, increased self-confidence improved motivation. may have some implications educators consider implementation institutions.
